Medb Statue - Celtic Goddess of Connacht

Medb was the warrior Queen of Connacht, a proud, cunning, and desirable woman from the Celtic Ulster Cycle. She is best known for initiating the Cattle Raid of Cooley to steal Ulster's prize bull. She is believed by some to be a manifestation of the sovereignty goddess. Medb of Connacht is probably identical with Medb Lethderg, the sovereignty goddess of Tara, and may also be linked with the Morrigan.
