Ostara is the Goddess of Spring to who pagans offered cakes and coloured eggs at the Vernal Equinox. White rabbits were sacred to her and she was believed to take forms of rabbits as well. The Vernal Equinox or the Spring Equinox make the beginnings of the Sun God's seminal journey across the sky, bringing light and warmth to overpower the darkness of winter.
