Hygieia - Greek Goddess of Health

Hygieia is the Goddess of health, healing, and the maintaining of that health with hygiene.

So inseparable is this goddess from the concept that good personal hygiene is essential to health that the word itself, hygiene, is based on her name. Her symbols has survived today in the symbol of medicine – being the snake.
